December 22, 2020 – San Diego, CA – Gamma Scientific announces the release of its Vector line of display view angle testers. The color testers integrate multiple spectroradiometers into a compact module to provide comprehensive accurate, high-speed, and reliable display measurement from multiple angles simultaneously. Solutions are available with three, four, five and six angles, including a flicker meter.
This next generation solution for display measurement provides laboratories, R&D, and production lines the ability to gain more insight into their products with a single snapshot, as well as see how their products will be perceived by the human eye in real-life conditions. This will enable complete spectral analysis to help characterize displays and improve display design, development and quality control.
“This can be a game changer for technology-driven industries dependent upon displays.” said CEO of Gamma Scientific, Kong Loh, Ph.D. “From mobile phones, TVs, smartwatches, and computer displays, this knowledge will help improve display performance, all while decreasing costs.”
The standard proven multi-angle offering GS-1164 4-angle spectroradiometer from Gamma Scientific has the capability of delivering simultaneous measurements from 0°, 30°,45°, and 60°. With this insight into how a display is perceived from multiple angles, manufacturers are empowered to optimize the quality of their products for end-users, all while increasing efficiencies and decreasing costs.
The ability to measure the true spectral content of the color at multiple view angles is especially well-suited for high color saturation or wide color gamut OLED, micro-LED, and quantum dot displays. Additional measurement angles at 15° and 75°degress are also available. Measurement parameters include luminance, peak and dominant wavelength, spectral power distribution, CIE 1931 x,y, CIE 1976 u,v, CIE 1931 XYZ, and CCT. Interface options include RS-232 serial and USB 2.0 Type B. Field-proven LightTouch uSpectrum software provides full understanding into measurements and testing.
For over 50 years, Gamma Scientific has delivered highly unique, state-of-the-art measurement solutions for manufacturers and users of light sources, sensors and displays. Products include high precision spectroradiometers, calibration light sources, goniophotometers, integrating spheres, thin film measurement systems, and LED testers and sorters. The company also operates an ISO 17025, NVLAP accredited laboratory for calibration and testing.
