Simultaneous 4-Angle Characterization of Display Color and Luminance; Unmatched Speed and Accuracy

GS-1164 w/cell phone

September 13, 2019 – San Diego, CA – Gamma Scientific announces the release of its GS-1164 multi angle spectroradiometer. The system is designed to rapidly and accurately measure color and luminance at 4 simultaneous viewing angles at a fraction of the cost of traditional spectroradiometric instruments. The platform’s cutting-edge design eliminates filter-matching errors inherent in traditional display colorimeters.

The system’s four integrated spectrometers operate simultaneously during measurement, delivering the same accuracy as units selling for 5x the cost. The approach also results in significantly shorter measurement times for dramatically improved throughput. Delivering the true spectrally based measurement accuracy required for high color saturation and wide color gamut OLED displays, the system provides accurate measurements with no reference panel calibrations.

Measurement angles include 0, 30, 45 & 60 degrees, with a measurement range of 0.05 to 5,000 cd/m2. Measurement parameters include luminance, peak and dominant wavelength, spectral power distribution, CIE 1931 x,y, CIE 1976 u,v, CIE 1931 XYZ, and CCT. Interface options include RS-232 serial and USB 2.0 Type B, and field-proven LightTouch uSpectrum software is included.
